What school-leaving qualifications are expected?

A secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss) is recommended for the apprenticeship as an HGV Mechanic.

Your tasks at Augustin Entsorgung:

• maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles and construction machinery (brakes, gearboxes, chassis…)
• analysis of vehicle faults
• retrofitting of lighting systems and cameras
• planning and preparation of work processes

Duration of apprenticeship:

The duration of the apprenticeship to become an HGV Mechanic is 3.5 years.

Apprentice pay:

• 1st year: €1,150.00
• 2nd year: €1,250.00
• 3rd year: €1,350.00
• 4th year: €1,370.00

Split between college and company:

• 1st year: 2x college – 3x company
• 2nd year: 1x college – 4x company
• 3rd year: 1x college – 4x company
• 4th year: 1x college – 4x company
• Holiday entitlement: 27 days per year
