Apprenticeship | Environmental Technologist for Recycling and Waste Management

What school-leaving qualification is expected?
An intermediate school-leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss) is recommended for the apprenticeship as an environmental technologist for circular economy and waste management.

What skills should I bring?
• Manual dexterity and technical understanding
• Diligence and a sense of responsibility (e.g. during waste separation)
• Speed of reaction (e.g. when intervening quickly during malfunctions)
• Ability to work in a team and resilience
• Ideally a Class B driving licence

Your tasks at Augustin Entsorgung:
• Installing and removing plant components in our plastics sorting facility and performing maintenance work on the systems
• Quality analysis of delivered and sorted recyclables
• Pollutant analysis
• Identifying materials (waste) and assigning them to the correct disposal route
• In dispatch: planning tours, billing tours, maintaining master data in the ERP system
• In the operations office: including performing/supporting inventory, maintaining input and output data, creating new orders, checking customer invoices, processing complaints and grievances

Duration of apprenticeship:
The duration of the apprenticeship as an environmental technologist for circular economy and waste management is 3 years.

Apprenticeship allowance:
• 1st year: €1,150
• 2nd year: €1,250
• 3rd year: €1,350

School/Company split:
• The split between school and company is determined by the vocational school. (Block lessons in Oldenburg, accommodation is provided)
• Holiday entitlement: 27 days per year
